Due
to the relocation of US 6 and to maintain continuity in the US Route Numbering System
the description of US 6 in

6 begins at the Madison‑Adair County line approximately six miles west of
the City of Earlham and proceeds easterly and northeasterly to the Madison‑Dallas
County line approximately four miles northwest of the City of Earlham.
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
It
is recommended the commission approve including the attached description of US
6 in
Locate
US 6 in
Beginning on
the Madison‑Adair County line at a point 1428 feet north of the SW Corner
Section 6‑T77N‑R29W, Madison County (SE Corner Section 1‑T77N‑R30W,
Adair County); thence easterly through Section 6‑T77N‑R29W to a
point 1667 feet north of the SW Corner Section 5‑T77N‑R29W; thence
curving in a northeasterly direction and continuing northeasterly through
Section 5‑T77N‑R29W to the Madison‑Dallas County line at a
point approximately 1285 feet west of the NE Corner Section 5‑T77N‑R29W,
Madison County (SE Corner Section 32‑T78N‑R29W, Dallas County).
